How to Use TREMOFLEX
1/ Select a Tremolo Mode: choose from the 17 core styles to define the modulation character.
2/ Adjust the Rate & Depth: control speed and intensity for subtle or extreme tremolo.
3/ Explore Routing & Filters: choose Linear or Parallel, apply LPF/HPF for tone shaping.
4/ Enhance with Space Reverb: blend reverb for a more immersive tremolo effect.
5/ Set Input & Output Levels: Adjust gain for balanced signal flow.
Top Tricks for Various Instruments
๐ธ For Guitars: Use Bias or Harmonic Tremolo for vintage amp-style pulsation.
๐น For Keys/Synths: Try Opto or Triangle for smooth pad movement.
๐ For Drums: Use SQR or Ramp (Soft Pulasting) for rhythmic gating effects.
๐ค For Vocals: Apply Soft Pulsing with Reverb for dreamy modulation.
Main Tremolo Controls:
MODE: Select from 17 tremolo styles (CLASSIC, BIAS, REVO, OPTO, SQR, SAW RISE/FALL, TRI, EXPO, VINTAGE HARM, RAMP HOLD, HARM, UNIHYPE, VIBE, INTENSIVE, MAXD, CUSTOM)
CROSSFADE MODE: Switch selected mode between Mono Tremolo / Stereo Autopan modes
RATE: Controls the speed of the tremolo (0.05 Hz to 20 Hz, limited in some modes).
SYNC: Enables tempo-synced modulation (range from 5 BAR to 1/64)
DEPTH: Adjusts the modulation intensity from subtle to extreme. Controls the Dry/Wet mix of Tremolo effect.
ROUTING, FILTER & REVERB
ROUTING MODE: Selects Linear or Parallel routing for the tremolo effect and Filter/Space reverb.
- LINEAR: Tremolo routed to Filter with Space (reverb) processing
- PARALLEL: Tremolo is routed to the device output in parallel with Filter & Space processing, that mixed before device output
FILTER FREQUENCY: A filter frequency control to shape the tonal balance of the tremolo effect.
FILTER MODE: Switch filter between HP / LP modes
SPACE: Adjusts the amount (mix) of reverb applied.
SPACE DECAY: Sets the length of the reverb tail.
UTILITY CONTROLS
INPUT: Adjusts the input level before processing.
OUTPUT: Adjusts the final output level.
TREMOLO MODES
CLASSIC SINE: Classic sine tremolo. Sine or slightly rounded triangle wave, balanced rise & fall.
Neutral Attack & Release. Linear Attack & Release curves.
Classic Vintage mono tremolo, perfect for subtle rhythmic pulsing. Works great on guitars, keys, and bass for vintage tremolo sounds
Stereo: creating a ping-pong effect. Wider and more immersive than mono mode. Ideal for stereo tremolo on pads, synths, and electric pianos.
BIAS: Exponential decay resembling the compression of a tube circuit. Quick Attack & slow Release. Longer vintage decay. No phase-shift or stereo separation.
Naturaly mono tube bias tremolo
REVO: Reverse optical waveform, creating exaggerated peaks and valleys. Longer Attack rise, shorter decay. Inverted phase for reverse behaviour.
Stereo spread enhances exaggerated peaks and valleys.
OPTO: Vintage amp-style optical tremolo with a soft pulsating effect.
Natural rise Attack & optical feel decay.
Can be mono like vintage amps or widened for stereo depth
SQR: Square wave tremolo for choppy, rhythmic cuts. Square waveform. Instant onset (attack) and instant release (cutoff). Not work well with stereo spread.
Use Case: Stutter effects, rhythmic chopping, percussive tremolo
Mono only choppy tremolo. This mode have HARD PAN option
SAW RISE: Rising Sawtooth (gradual increase, sudden sharp drop). Great for building tension. Ramping Up effect.
Stereo spread can work, but may feel eneven at fast speeds.
SAW FALL: Falling Sawtooth (sudden sharp increase, gradual drop). Ramping Down effect. Gives a percussive, plucky feel, where the effect immediately starts strong and fades out.
Mono centered tremolo, or L/R stereo channels alternate. Stereo spread can work, but may feel eneven at fast speeds
TRIANGLE: A triangle wave has a linear rise and fall, making it sound smoother than a square wave but more pronounced than a sine wave. Equal release time to match attack.
Balanced, linear tremolo works well in stereo spread.
It sounds natural and rhythmic, making it ideal for classic guitar tremolo, synth vibrato, and LFO-based effects.
Stereo spread makes the tremolo move across the stereo field
EXPO (SOFT PULSATING): Soft Pulsating is Exponential Tremolo. Starts soft and gradually deepens, like a natural breathing effect. Gradual rise and fall. Subtle and expressive tremolo for vocals, pads, and ambient sounds.
For smooth, organic movement, best in Mono. In stereo add bright width
VINTAGE: Harmonic Tremolo (vintage harm vibe mode). Simulates classic harmonic tremolo by modulating low and high frequencies separately. Vintage amp-style tremolo with a phaser-like shimmer. Equal Rise/Fall, nutral for even shifts.
Widen stereo effect for shimmering harmonic modulation. Stereo works well if LFO is split into low/high-frequency bands
RAMP (SLOW CLIMB): Modified Sawtooth creates a long, gradual rise and a much faster drop, mimicking the feel of ramping up and then resetting. Not have a full symmetry like Saw. Useful for swells.
Mono only to maintain a clear ramping effect
HARM: A shimmering, vintage-style frequency tremolo. Splits the Low & High frequencies.
Mono: Vintage accuracy organicand warm movement. Warm amp-like undulation
Stereo: modern wide tremolo, creating spatioal depth. Open & immersive sound
UNI-HYPE: Classic swirling phaser-like tremolo. Assymetrical sine wave with slightly “wobbly” or irregular shape. Slightly smoother attack to create a rounded sound.
Vintage Uni-Vibe pulsation without stereo width. Creates a deep and organic movement like a classic pedal.
Mono: Classic, deep, warm pulse. Originally Mono effect
Stereo: Swirling movement like a true stereo Vibe. Wider and more spacious than mono mode
VIBE: Slow modulation under 1 Hz. Assymetrical sine wave with slightly “wobbly” or irregular shape. Reproduce slower rate of UNI-HYPE wave up to 1 Hz. A slower rate gives a classic vibe effect.
Mono: Classic, deep, warm effect. Originally Mono
Stereo: Slow movement works well across stereo field
INTENSIVE: Fast, aggressive tremolo (1 Hz โ 20 Hz). Assymetrical sine wave with slightly “wobbly” or irregular shape. Reproduce higher speed of UNI-HYPE wave up to 20 Hz. A faster rate create a more intense effect.
Stereo: Slow movement works well across stereo field
MAXED: Sine wave or slightly rounded triangle wave, balanced rise & fall.
Neutral Attack & Release. Linear Attack & Release curves.
Classic Vintage mono tremolo with maximized rate range. Perfect for subtle rhythmic pulsing. Works great on guitars, keys, and bass for vintage tremolo sounds
Stereo: creating a ping-pong effect. Wider and more immersive than mono mode. Ideal for stereo tremolo on pads, synths, and electric pianos
CUSTOM: Custom mode provide to generate and control custom Waveform, Attack, Release time and curve parameters, symmetry of the waveform.
Have additional parameter controls : Phase Shift and Spread.
