Layer Cake

With a fresh shift in focus to the digital realm, SKP Sound Design is back with an exciting new patch expander for Layers and Layers Wave Edition RE’s aptly titled Layer Cake.

Borrowing inspiration from the sounds of 90’s and early 00’s IDM/Electronica styling. Layer Cake toys with sought-after textures, tones, plucks and bells that harken back to an era encapsulating the glory days of electronic music.

The Layer Cake ReFill contains a total of 150 patches including 50 Combinator ensembles for Reason Studio’s Layer and Layers Wave Edition Rack Extensions.

Layer Cake is a collection of:

• 20 Ambience & texture patches
• 30 Organic leads, plucks and bells
• 30 Nostalgic pads
• 20 Animated movement patches
• 50 Combinator ensembles

The patches contained within Layer Cake all sound fantastic right out the box, and include full velocity sensitivity and mod wheel assignments on every patch throughout the ReFill. All sounds are calibrated to average -12dBFS (VU) to avoid any unwanted sonic surprises.

Layer Cake requires Reason Suite or Reason 10 and above with Layers and Layers Wave Edition Rack Extensions.
