Being part of Reason Studios has given me a lot of appreciation for the hard work done to improve Reason. And Reason 13 was truly one of those projects where everyone pulled together to create something special.
I am very proud of having played a small role in Reason 13, but the true credit goes to the R&D and product team that worked tirelessly to make the ambitious scope for Reason 13 come alive. Without their passion and love for Reason we just wouldn’t have been able to make so much new stuff.
With Reason 12 having been supported for almost three years with a large chunk of that effort going into projects like VST3, M1 and the graphics engine, we were excited to make a release that’s all about the music making capabilities and unique workflow of Reason.
During the project we decided to film a bit behind the scenes, so what you’re about to see is not something reconstructed after the fact but a true behind the scenes look at what it takes to build a new major Reason version.
I hope you enjoy it as much as me and you can appreciate the passion, sweat and hard work the team has put in.
