Today we are announcing that we are lowering the price of upgrading to the latest version of Reason from $199 to $149. We want the price to be affordable while also reflecting the high quality devices included in each new version of Reason. We have learned that as a long-time Reason music maker invested in the Reason ecosystem the previous upgrade price felt like a stretch and we wanted to adjust that to not make you hesitant towards staying up to date with the latest version.
At the same time, we’re removing the special upgrade pricing for users coming from Reason Adapted, Reason Limited, Reason Lite, Reason Essentials, and Reason Intro. We discontinued these versions many years ago and keeping an upgrade path for obsolete versions doesn’t make sense anymore. Instead, we now refer to the latest Reason license version. That said, if you are an Intro/Lite owner look in your mailbox for a special final deal to upgrade.
