Ripley
Space Delay
At its heart Ripley is a stereo delay, a reverb, and several effects for coloring your sound. By combining these in different ways you can create everything from clean and digital taps and warm analog delay to crazy lo-fi chirps and washed out ambiences.
Ripley’s delay section is both immediate and flexible. The two delay lines can be used in single or dual mode, run freely or synchronized to tempo. Turn up the Wobbler for some vintage pitch drift and go wide with Ping Pong or a slight stereo offset. Then dial in the perfect amount of feedback—or hit Freeze to infinitely loop a musical moment.
The Feedback Filter section shapes the frequencies of your delay to your liking. Use Low/High for rolling off top and bottom end or experiment with the Band filters for bubbly resonance, vocal formants, screaming feedback, stereo effects, and more.
The delay then takes off into Space, a lush reverb capable of both small rooms and huge ambiences. Run it in series for a big wash of delay and reverb, or enable parallel to separate the two.
To add more character, look no further than the Noise, Dist, Digital, EQ, and Ducker. Each of the effects can be put in different places in the signal chain for flexible sound shaping. For example, you can easily add noise and digital bitcrushing to the delay for a lo-fi vibe while keeping the reverb clean and unaffected. Coupled with an extensive modulation matrix with two LFOs, an envelope follower, macro controls, and CV inputs—Ripley is a delay design playground.
